The Real Vehicle Breakdowns mod for Farming Simulator 25 introduces realistic mechanical failures based on vehicle usage and component wear. Each part is assigned a specific lifespan, leading to potential malfunctions after certain operating hours.
Key Features:
- Component Failures: Parts such as thermostats, glow plugs, windscreen wiper motors, generators, engines, starters, and batteries can fail over time. For instance, a thermostat might malfunction after 150 hours of operation.
- Operating Temperature Monitoring: The system tracks the engine's temperature. Operating the vehicle below optimal temperatures (e.g., under 30 °C) can cause damage, which is reflected in the damage info bar.
- Battery Management: The vehicle's generator charges the battery only when the engine runs above idle RPM. Batteries can also be charged at electric charging stations or in the vehicle workshop if their charge drops below 10%.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair costs are calculated based on the vehicle's purchase price and age. Vehicles can only be repaired at base vehicle workshop triggers.
Accessing the RVB Menu:
To open the Real Vehicle Breakdowns (RVB) menu, use the default key combination Left Alt + W while seated in a vehicle.
